CSU Learn

In 2019, the CSU successfully migrated to a new streamlined learning management system (LMS) for staff, faculty, and student employees: CSULearn. This LMS allows our campus to assign and leverage content including professional development and compliance courses.

Why must I take Required Online Compliance Courses?

  • The CSU requires that faculty, staff, and student employees take certain courses to comply with state and university requirements that are driven by federal law, state law or CSU policy. A majority of these courses will be assigned through the systemwide learn management system CSULearn. For further information regarding these laws and policies that make these courses required we encourage you to learn more by visiting the Chancellor's Office website CSYOU Compliance Training for CSU Employees

I've taken some of these Required Online Compliance Courses before, why am I required to take them again?

  • Content Enhancements
    • Any completed training history/records that were in SkillSoft have carried over to CSULearn. Some training completions from SkillSoft may count as equivalencies in CSULearn. However, a majority of employees will be required to renew their compliance content. There have been many course enhancements and improvements, that renewal has been required for all employees to become compliant.
  • Scheduled Renewals:
    • In an effort to closer align our campus with federal laws, state laws, and CSU policies, CSU San Bernardino has implemented a number of new scheduled renewals for courses that previously were one time courses. For a full list of the San Bernardino specific course assignments, you can view our master spreadsheet: CSULearn - CSUSB Master Required Compliance Content Spreadsheet

I am a new hire, how do I complete compliance training?

As early as June 2019, all new hire compliance training will be auto-assigned to the employee upon hire or as needed. While the system itself (CSULearn) is available, a majority of compliance course content is being vetted for appropriateness. As the courses become available they will be assigned on a rolling basis. We ask employees to await automated notifications from CSULearn to notify them when the content is ready. For any questions, please contact CSULearn@csusb.edu
