Educational Leadership (Ed.D.)

Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership (Ed.D.)

Mission:

The mission of the Cal State San Bernardino Ed.D. Program in Educational Leadership is to develop scholar-practitioner-leaders who respond to 21st century challenges by promoting practices, policies, and programs committed to equity, social justice, and transformation. We are a member institution of the Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate (CPED).

Program Structure:

Doctoral candidates participate in a learning cohort community and experience an interdisciplinary approach to the study of educational leadership, teaching and learning, organizational development, management and research within a three year program of study. Classes normally are held one evening a week and each Saturday morning. The five-part research seminars are held alternate Saturday’s right after the class. We are offering a distance learning model in conjunction with the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus. For the weekday class, part of the cohort will meet on the San Bernardino campus and part will meet on the Palm Desert campus with video conference in both areas. On Saturday mornings the complete cohort will meet together on the San Bernardino campus.

Application Process:  Entrance is restricted to the fall quarter only. Admission to the CSUSB Ed.D. in Educational Leadership is highly competitive. A cohort of 18-20 students will be admitted each fall quarter. An application is required for the CSUSB Graduate Admissions and the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership.
