CSUSB President Morales calls for unified effort to provide increased access to public higher education

“America’s prosperity is intrinsically tied to the ability of our collective work as public institutions of higher education to deliver on America’s promise,” Tomás D. Morales said in his President-to-Presidents Lecture at the American Association of State Colleges and Universities national conference.

CSUSB awarded 2023 AASCU Excellence & Innovation Award for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Leadership

The university was selected by American Association of State Colleges and Universities’ awards committee for its CSUSB President’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Board initiative and “its outstanding results and potential to influence and serve as a model for other institutions.”

Entrepreneurial Resource Center officially opens in downtown San Bernardino

The Entrepreneurial Resource Center, a partnership between the city of San Bernardino and Cal State San Bernardino, is designed to be an easily accessible hub for small business services, centrally located in the city’s downtown.

Terrance L. Stone is a national- and state-certified gang intervention and prevention specialist who has reached more than 185,000 at-risk youth through Young Visionaries Youth Leadership Academy, of which Stone is the founder and CEO.

CSUSB named a 2023 Equity Champion for Higher Education

The university is a 2023 Equity Champion of Higher Education for Black Students, one of five California State Universities that are being honored “for working with intentionality to support Black students via the Associate Degree for Transfer” by the Campaign for College Opportunity.

CSUSB and Madras Christian College, India, agree to academic exchange program

Cross-cultural understanding and academic excellence is the foundation on which the academic exchange agreement between the two educational institutions is built.

Entrepreneurial Resource Center in downtown San Bernardino hosts grand opening Nov. 2

The center, an initiative developed by the city of San Bernardino and Cal State San Bernardino, makes its home in Studio D, located on the fifth floor of the Chase Building, 330 North D St., next to City Hall.

The agreement, in the form of a memorandum of understanding, outlines cooperation in several areas, including study abroad programs for students, partnerships in academic programs, short-term academic and language programs, exchange of faculty members and joint research activities.
